ECONIK 1851

The Econik 1851 active high-end loudspeaker was designed with the aim of combining acoustic precision with a unique yet unobtrusive appearance.

Its cabinet is manufactured from quartz sand using a 3D printing process. The mineral, rough-textured surface and monolithic shape give it a high-quality appearance and minimise micro-vibrations.

An almost spherical interior volume also reduces standing waves. The steel cable suspension makes it appear light despite its size and has the effect of almost 100 per cent sound decoupling.

The materiality and accompanying colour scheme blend into almost any living room or studio environment. As this is an active system, the amplifier and signal routing are fully integrated, enabling a minimalist solution with only one power cable.

The Econik 1851 thus combines material innovation and acoustically optimised sound geometry with an extravagant, subtle design in the room.
